How dermal fillers work

It is a pure crystal clear hyaluronic acid (HA) gel which when injected into the skin replenishes our own native HA which we lose through ageing delivering action where it is needed. It boosts the skin’s own hydration system and restores youthful volume by supporting the skin’s structure and working at a deep dermal level to delay the signs of ageing.

Some products such as Juvederm Hydrate are more specifically formulated for their hydrating boost to the skin.

Treatment results can be seen instantly although will continue to improve over the first few days and are long lasting, from nine to twelve months.

Is dermal filler treatment right for me?

Dermal fillers are a good option for those wishing to reduce the fine lines or wrinkles on their face but do not wish to have surgery.

What to expect during treatment with Teosyal, Belotero or Restylane

The hyaluronic acid gel is injected into the skin in small amounts using a very fine needle. The gel provides hydration and structure and gives natural volume to smooth away the appearance of lines, enhance facial shape, or create fuller lips.

The treatment is very quick and often takes less than 30 minutes. The treatment benefits can normally be seen instantly and does not affect facial expression. No skin test is required because the products do not contain any animal-derived ingredients.
